A modern film adaptation of the classic novel "Maisie" by Henry James: The New York rock singer Susanna (Julianne Moore) and the art dealer Beale (Steve Coogan) divorce. While Beale begins a relationship with her nanny Margo (Joanna Vanderham), Susanna marries the younger bartender Lincoln (Alexander Skarsgård). Their daughter Maisie has four parents from now on and discovers that her new teachers have much more time for her. The little one is especially enthusiastic about Lincoln, but Susanna does not like that at all...
